For our customer, we delivered a complete exhaust system designed for cutting wide steel slabs with a plasma torch. This process generates large amounts of smoke, dust, and harmful fumes, which, without effective extraction, would significantly deteriorate the working environment, endanger operator health, and cause dust deposition on machines and the surrounding production area. Therefore, a high-quality exhaust system is an essential part of the cutting technology.
The system includes an exhaust duct with extraction below the cutting line, capturing fumes directly at their source. The airflow then passes into a Hardox cyclone separator, where coarse particles are removed. Fine dust is further captured by the Jet BAG filter unit, equipped with automatic regeneration through pulse-jet compressed air cleaning.
Extraction is driven by a radial fan with frequency inverter speed control, ensuring energy-efficient operation and stable performance according to the current production requirements.
In total, two complete sets of this technology were delivered, reliably ensuring a clean working environment, operator health protection, and long service life of production equipment.
